|Juan Martinez brings Travis Alexander to life in phenomenal closing arguments in the Jodi Arias trial on May 2, 2013.|
I have to admit, I was one who found Martinez' strategy at times a bit repetitive, harsh and sometimes monotonous, but today...wow. Martinez has brought this entire case together and has laid out for all to see that Jodi Arias premeditated the murder of Travis Alexander on June 4, 2008. He made some points that really highlighted the premeditation. It is premeditation that will win the first-degree conviction as opposed to second-degree murder, manslaughter, or even an acquittal on basis of self-defense.
When Juan Martinez spoke about Jodi Arias bringing the CDs of photos of Travis and Jodi and just showing up in Mesa, Arizona, it is clear that she planned to see him. I wonder, how many times did Travis Alexander just get up and leave Mesa, Arizona to show up at Arias' grandmother's house, etc. in Yreka, California.
I have the feeling he never..NEVER...just got up and left his home to make a long distance trip to see Arias.
One thing that stuck out and caught my attention today (which hadn't before, despite the fact I've been following this case from the beginning), is that Jodi Arias stopped and visited a bunch of men she had slept with. That's just crazy.
First she saw ex Matt McCartney then her ex Darryl Brewer, then Travis Alexander then off to her new love interest Ryan Burns.
Who takes a trip to visit all their exes? Who visits their exes while trying to make an alibi for murder? Did Jodi Arias sleep with all her exes during her visits? We know she slept with Travis and tried to sleep with Ryan Burns.
Is Jodi Arias a serial stalker who actually collects ex-lovers and never, truly lets them go?
Juan Martinez has done an excellent job with closing arguments. He has connected all the dots and I think there is an excellent chance that despite everything that has gone on in this trial, this jury could very well sentence Jodi Arias to death.
