Jodi Arias singing: Accused murderess sang Alanis Morissette's 'You Oughta Know' to Travis Alexander a month before murder

Jodi Arias loves to sing...there's no question about that. And maybe, in another life, Jodi Arias could have pursued singing as a profession, rather than obsessing over men whom would never love her back. But, for the record, Arias does have a decent singing voice as evidenced by her winning the Arizona jailhouse "American Idol" style singing competition in which she won a turkey dinner.

Check out the video below where you can watch Jodi Arias singing 'Oh Holy Night' again...and again...and again...

Well, this Maricopa Sheriff's video isn't the only recording we have of Jodi Arias singing. In the infamous "Phone sex tape" recording that Arias taped while exchanging kinky sentiments with Travis Alexander, the conversation took a turn from sexual fantasies and reminiscing about previous sexual trysts to pop music.

In what could be an ironic, prophetic twist, Jodi Arias actually sang Alanis Morrissette's "You Oughta Know" to Travis Alexander over the phone.

You oughta know the song...it was a huge hit.

Remember?

The one about a jilted lover who exacts vengeance on the man who broke her heart?

Sure, it's only a coincidence and Jodi sang the song approximately one month before she would butcher Alexander and leave his body decaying in his shower while she continued to go on with life as usual, but it's ironic none-the-less.

You can hear Jodi Arias singing the song by fast-forwarding the phone sex audio tape to 1:04.

Here are the lyrics

Alanis Morissette

'You Oughta Know'

I want you to know, that I'm happy for you
I wish nothing but the best for you both
An older version of me
Is she perverted like me
Would she go down on you in a theatre
Does she speak eloquently
And would she have your baby
I'm sure she'd make a really excellent mother

'cause the love that you gave that we made wasn't able
To make it enough for you to be open wide, no
And every time you speak her name
Does she know how you told me you'd hold me
Until you died, till you died
But you're still alive

And I'm here to remind you
Of the mess you left when you went away
It's not fair to deny me
Of the cross I bear that you gave to me
You, you, you oughta know

You seem very well, things look peaceful
I'm not quite as well, I thought you should know
Did you forget about me Mr. Duplicity
I hate to bug you in the middle of dinner
It was a slap in the face how quickly I was replaced
Are you thinking of me when you fuck her?

'cause the love that you gave that we made wasn't able
To make it enough for you to be open wide, no
And every time you speak her name
Does she know how you told me you'd hold me
Until you died, til you died
But you're still alive

And I'm here to remind you
Of the mess you left when you went away
It's not fair to deny me
Of the cross I bear that you gave to me
You, you, you oughta know

'cause the joke that you laid on the bed that was me
And I'm not gonna fade
As soon as you close your eyes and you know it
And every time I scratch my nails down someone else's back
I hope you feel it...well can you feel it

Well, I'm here to remind you
Of the mess you left when you went away
It's not fair to deny me
Of the cross I bear that you gave to me
You, you, you oughta know
